The International Coach Federation (ICF) identifies mentor coaching as a credential applicant being coached on their coaching skills and receiving feedback regarding the application of ICF core competencies from another qualified coach. It focuses primarily on the development of an applicant’s coaching skills rather than coaching on practice building, life balance, or other unrelated topics,
As one for the prerequisites for applying for a credential with the International Coach Federation (ICF), all applicants are required to receive at least 10 hours of mentor coaching for a coach who holds the same or higher credential. In the case of Associate Certified Coach (ACC), 10 hours of mentor coaching is required every three years upon renewal of the credential.
As ICF Registered Mentor Coaches with over 6,000 hours of coaching experience between them, Robert Holmes PCC, Sue Hefren PCC and Mark Setch MCC are highly experienced Mentor Coaches. Collectively they have mentored over 300 coaches.
